Ittehad Steel Industries took on the project of the Pakistan Monument along with the Pakistan Monument Museum when their foundation was laid in 2004. The structures were completed in 2006 and inaugurated in 2007. The Pakistan Monument is located in Shakarparian. It gives a bird-eye view of the capital city below and is a popular tourist destination. The dome-shaped structure has been given a touch of modern architecture and technology, and each section has been designed as a petal, giving the feeling of a blooming flower altogether. The entire monument is spread over 6.9 acres, making it a gigantic architectural wonder. From an aerial view, the blooming flower looks like the star and the crescent on the Pakistan’s flag. The Pakistan Monument Museum also has a modern architecture, housing the history of Pakistan in the form of informatics and wax displays.
